Ishoej Harbor

For now this section is about Denmark - and mainly the area around Copenhagen.

An area south of Copenhagen that holds quite a variety of water worth fishing - both open coast, an inner harbor, a lake and a stream. The area is very popular and easily accessible. The salty part - coast and inner harbor - can be fished on the state license, while the fresher parts - lake and stream - require a license, which is available of a day-to-day basis.

The water holds sea trout, perch, bream and ide, but also garfish in the season and flatfish on the outer coast, The freshwater part is renowned for its good fishing for large perch, and fish in the kilo range (2 lbs) are not rare.

The freshwater part is covered separately.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher was updated to a new publishing system early March 2025, and there may still be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
